Alé’s PRR Bermuda bib shorts marry carbon fabric technology with an excellent fit, and first-class grippers and bib straps.

Alé say carbon fibre has been integrated into the structure of the fabric to improve blood circulation, while also offering anti-bacterial properties, and while we can’t vouch for the effectiveness of the carbon, we can say that the shorts have an excellent, supportive (if snug) fit.

The ‘4H’ chamois, meanwhile, is very good but the best thing about these shorts is the 60mm-deep elastic leg grippers, which have silicone woven into the structure to keep them in place without grabbing on the leg. As a result, the grippers offer a smooth transition between the shorts and the leg, and are supremely comfortable, while the same technology is used on the excellent bib straps.
