Boardman Bikes have unveiled their 850g Superlight Sportive frame as part of a revamped 2014 Elite Series range.
We were given a sneak peek at the SLS back in August but the full Elite Series launch, on the 31st floor of London’s Centre Point tower, saw the official unveiling of the new frame and the four bike builds in which it will be offered.
The Boardman range is spit into two collections, with the more affordable Performance Series bikes sold through Halfords (we saw the new Performance Series bikes last month), and the Elite Series machines available from the British firm’s network of independent bike shops.
The Elite Series range has been completely overhauled for model year 2014-15 (Boardman are one of the few companies to run a two-year product life cycle), with a new time trial frame – the AiR TTE – and disc-equipped cyclo-cross frame – the CXR – also introduced, as well as significant updates to the existing SLR, AiR and AiR TT frames.
We’ll take a closer look at the SLS on the following page, before running through the rest of the range.
