The change of the season has set our thoughts to clothing to keep out the wind and rain.
French brand, Café du Cycliste, based on the Côte d’Azur, might seem then, at first glance, an unusual choice.
Their waterproof, short-sleeved jersey, however, was a garment that caught our attention, following our satisfaction with Castelli’s Gabba – a jersey that has become one of our ‘go to’ winter clothing items.
And full-length, fleece-lined arm and leg warmers made from SuperRoubaix fabric, also had the look of a sensible seasonal choice, given the recent drop in temperature.
Over the next few pages, we’ll take a close look at the technical features of each, their fit and fabrics, before the serious business of testing begins.
