No sooner have we waved a sad au revoir to the London Bike Show until next year, than our thoughts turn to the Core Bike Show at the end of the month.
This trade-only affair is where distributors show the new model year kit to hungry bike shop owners, and where we’re often given the chance to bring you news of exciting new products.
Our friends at Hotlines will be parading this beauty: a Lapierre Aerostorm, a replica of the model raced in time trials by the Francais Des Jeux WorldTour team.
This Lapierre Aerostorm, Francais Des Jeux replica time trial bike with Shimano Dura Ace and Pro build, will be displayed at the Core Bike Show.
Unimaginably light, and blessed with a wind cheating design born of many hours in the wind tunnel at the Magny Cours FI circuit near Lapierre’s Dijon HQ, this time trial machine is compatible with Shimano’s Di2 electronic shifting set up.
Hotlines will show the machine with Dura Ace Di2 and Shimano Pro Spec at the Core Bike Show, a package that will set you back a cool £7,500.
For those seeking to push the envelope (and their bank manager’s tolerance) further and specify a still more exotic build, the Aerostorm is available as a frame only package priced at a penny under £3,100.
We’ll be bringing you more previews of the exotic machinery set to go on show at Core both this week and next. Check back for more.
