The first of this year’s two CycleOps Power Road Sportives will take place on 22nd May in Builth Wells. The event is located in a stunningly scenic area in the heart of mid Wales and an ideal place for one of the most breathtaking and challenging road sportives in the 2010 series.

The sportive offers an 88 mile long “classic” course and a 53km standard course starting at Penmaenae Farm which neighbours the Royal Welsh Showground. The classic course will climb the notorious Devil’s Staircase which ascends 160m in one mile of road and features a maximum gradient of one-in-three.
