De Rosa Milanino Long Reach in the offing

Ok; it’s not really called the Long Reach – or not yet. But De Rosa’s intriguing Milanino, developed along the lines of an idea by i-ride’s Paul Butler, will receive something of a makeover later in 2012 when it gets mudguards stay bosses and clearance for long-reach brake calipers.

The new specification will make the machine a true all-seasons all-rounder able to accept tyres up to 28c with mudguards fitted. As it stands, the Milanino features an aluminium frame beautifully built in De Rosa’s Cusano Milanino workshop using custom-drawn triple-butted tubes, a Mizuno all-carbon fork,  Campagnolo Centaur 10-speed groupset with Fulcrum R-Compact carbon crank chainset, Fulcrum Racing 7 wheelset and finishing kit by  3T, FSA and Prologo.

Priced at an SRP of £1,699,99, the Milanino is available in four sizes with horizontal top tube measurement of 52.5cm, 54cm, 56cm and 57.5cm.
