New autumn/winter range includes everything you'll need for the months ahead
British apparel brand dhb has launched its autumn/winter clothing range, featuring kit spread across three collections: Classic, Blok and Aeron.
As ever, dhb’s kit attempts to hit a sweetspot between value-for-money and performance, with the full range of clothing including everything you would reasonably expect for your winter cycling wardrobe.

Using the same tiering structure as dhb’s spring/summer kit, Aeron is the brand’s top-of-the-range apparel range, Blok sits midway and offers a selection of more eye-catching designs while Classic is the entry-level offering.
Let’s take a closer look at each.
dhb Classic autumn/winter 2017 collection
dhb says the Classic collection is designed to be a winter cycling wardrobe staple, containing the kind of go-to, affordable gear you’ll use regularly through the cold, dark months.
The range includes the new dhb Classic Roubaix Bib Tights (£60) in navy, made from Lombardia Roubaix Lycra. The 235g technical fabric is designed to offer warmth and breathability, and is paired with Cytech’s Elastic Interface Giro Air chamois.
Also updated for the new season is the dhb Classic Breton Jersey (£50), with new colours and designs on offer.

Layering is offered by the dhb Classic Windproof Gilet (£40), which is built for lightweight and packability, but also features an elasticated hem, dropped tail and two rear pockets.
And to keep the elements at bay, the dhb Classic Windproof Thermal Softshell (£70) does exactly what it says on the tin, with a wind-resistant membrane on the front panel and sleeves, and a polyester fleece on the back for warmth. Reflective detailing on the logo, upper arm and rear pockets complete the look.
Finally, the new dhb Classic Buff (£12) and dhb Classic Sock (£7) are among the accessories in the line-up.

dhb’s Blok collection typically offers more eye-catching, stylised designs, and this season’s line-up is the first to offer a full head-to-toe look.

Still, dhb has sought to ensure performance remains high, with Italian-sourced fabrics combined with head-turning designs, such as those seen on the dhb Blok Long Sleeve Thermal Jersey (£55), available in five styles for men and four for women.
The jerseys are made from a fabric said to be thermal, breathable and fast-wicking fabric, with added reflective inserts on the back.

They are made from a high-wicking, open mesh fabric, according to dhb, and are designed to help keep your core body temperature stable through variable weather.
The base layers are equally bold
Those jerseys and base layers can be paired with the dhb Blok Bib Tight (£65) or dhb Block Women’s Halterneck Printed Tights (£65).
The former uses a soft Roubaix fabric and the aforementioned Elastic Interface seat pad, while the latter – new for 2017/18 – takes its cues from the Aeron range. The full-length print panel is designed to complement the brand’s softshell jackets.
Meanwhile, the dhb Block Buff (£12) is new for winter and the dhb Blok Sock (£7) has been redesigned.

The Aeron range is dhb’s top-of-the-line performance-wear, utilising weatherproof fabrics and, new for 2017/18, the company’s ‘Flashlight Technology’ (FLT) – strategically-placed reflectives adapted from dhb’s commuter range.
Built for early-morning or evening training rides, or for longer hits out in inclement weather, the headline addition to the range for this winter is the dhb Aeron Men’s Hybrid Softshell Jacket (£80).
The jacket has wind and water-resistant front and arm panels and a Roubaix fabric back panel, alongside the hi-visibility reflective detailing. With the right layering, dhb calls the jacket a staple four-season garment.
The Aeron range contains dhb’s most advanced clothing
If you want something more winter-proof in its own right, however, then you need to turn to the dhb Aeron Storm FLT Waterproof Jacket (£150). It’s based on the superb waterproof and breathable Aeron Storm jacket we loved last winter, but is now also available in fluro yellow, with a generous helping of FLT reflectives.
Other new jackets in the Aeron A/W 2017 collection include the dhb Aeron Packable Jacket (£50) and dhb Aeron Lightweight Gilet (£40), which feature a DWR coating and are aimed at those looking for an emergency, packable layer.

On the topic of jackets, the Tempo is now the dhb Aeron Tempo 2 (£80), with added reflectives.
Finally, the new dhb Aeron Windproof Short Sleeve Base Layer is yours for £30, and the brand’s range of Merino Socks now come in three different weights (£9-£13).
