What is there to say about a headband? As it turns out, quite a bit. But in short, dhb’s Windproof Windtex Headband is a foolproof way to keep your noggin’ warm through the cold winter months.
If, like me, a beanie or skullcap soon leaves beads of sweat running down your forehead, a headband keeps valuable heat in while protecting those exposed extremities – your ears – warm.
dhb’s offering, which retails at £17.99, features three windproof panels – for your forehead and two ears – which do a great job at keeping the chill out.
A stretchy rear panel keeps the one-size-fits-all headband in place. Some reviews on Wiggle’s website have complained that the one size is, in fact, a little too big but it fits my, albeit large, head just fine.
Anyway, the headband is light enough not to block out all noise and there’s no problem in wearing this under your helmet, too, unlike some bulkier products.
The headband is available in four colours – black, blue, red or white – and features a reflective dhb logo on the right panel. In truth, the logo could do with being a little more subtle considering its the only detail on the headband, apart from a small, red plastic tag on the opposite ear. But that’s just about the only complaint, and it’s a minor aesthetic one at that.
