Introducing the Garmin Edge 1000...
Garmin launched the Edge 1000, the flagship successor to the Edge 810, earlier this year and we’ve had one land on the RoadCyclingUK desk for review.
The Edge 1000 combines key features from the Edge 810 and the Edge Touring, added to the range last year, with a series of new developments, including Garmin Connect segments, a bigger screen and increased smartphone connectivity.
The Edge 1000 is available as a standalone computer for £439.99, and that’s what we have here, while it also comes in a ‘performance bundle’ with a speed sensor, cadence sensor and heart rate monitor for £499.99.
But before we hit the road, let’s use this opportunity to cast an eye over five of the Edge 1000’s new features before we put them to the test.
