The Vitus Sportives powered by CycleOps Power series offers four events in three countries, running from May to September.
The series kicks off on May 19 in Selkirk, Scotland, before moving to Marshbrook, England, on July 14. Abergavenny, Wales, then picks up the baton on August 5, before the final event in Ruthin, Wales, on September 15.
Each event will have two ride options; a 80-100 mile ‘classic’ route and a 40-50 ‘standard’ option. The courses will be fully marked but every rider will also be given a small backup map. Nutrition sponsor Torq will stock the feed stations with energy drinks, bars, and gels, as well as bananas and water, while mechanics will be on hand to help.
The Selkirk, Marshbrook and Ruthin rounds will run on the Saturday, with a round of the Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon series to take place on the Sunday. The Abergavenny round will reverse that format, with the off-road event on the Saturday and the road ride the following day.
Vitus Sportive entry costs £27 and includes post-event tea/coffee & cake, camping, parking, shower and toilet facilities, bike washing facilities, a present for every finisher and spot prizes.
