Lezyne Port-a-Shop Tool Kit

A travel tool kit so good you'll not need much else for your home workshop either

Designed as a travel essential for training camps, sportives, races or trips abroad, Lezyne’s Port-a-Shop Tool Kit will also be good enough for many riders to use it as their main tool kit at home.

Packed neatly into a zip-up, padded and durable Cordura case, with all the internal sections labelled, the kit is a long-standing favourite in the Lezyne range – so much so it first featured in the 2015 RCUK 100.

It’s primary function, as the name suggests, is a travel tool kit and in that regard it’s hugely impressive, packing a comprehensive selection of tools into the compact 22cm x 15cm x 5cm case.

The bulk of the tools are packed into three multi-tools, with one covering Allen keys, another looking after Torx bits, and the third containing a range of extras like screwdrivers, an 8mm Allen key, disc brake pad spreader, a bottle opener for the obligatory post-ride beer, and more.

You also get two spanners with tyre irons at the opposite end (and more bottle openers, because if you’re using your multi-tool then your ride buddy should still be allowed to crack open a beer). The list continues with a quality chain tool, plastic tyre levers, two puncture repair kits and spoke keys.

Basically, you get pretty much everything you need for a tool kit to chuck in your bike box when travelling overseas, or to have in the back of your car for ahead of a sportive.

We assemble a lot of test bikes here at RoadCyclingUK and the Port-a-Shop is our go-to kit. It’s not comprehensive – we’ve also added a full-length 8mm Allen key, tape measure and pre-set torque key to our kit, and all three get plenty of use – but it contains the essentials and there’s enough room in the case to add your own favourites, like we have.

On top of that, all the tools are excellent quality, as you’d expect from Lezyne, and that’s backed up by the quality of the case itself, making this a top-notch kit for the travelling sportive rider or racer.
