LOOK launch limited edition 795 Aerolight to celebrate 30th anniversary of Greg LeMond’s Tour de France win

Limited edition run of 200 bikes in French firm's iconic Mondrian colours

LOOK is one of the most innovative companies in cycling, having developed the first clipless pedal in 1984. Bernard Hinault won the 1985 Tour de France on the French firm’s pedal system then, a year later, Greg LeMond claimed the first Tour de France victory for a carbon fibre bike on the LOOK KG86.

And to celebrate the 30th anniversary of LeMond’s landmark win, which came at a time when steel was the frame material of choice in the pro peloton, LOOK have unveiled a limited edition 795 Aerolight in the brand’s iconic Mondrian colours – and limited to just 200 bikes.

The LOOK 795 Aerolight 30th Anniversary comes in the French firm’s iconic Mondrian colours

The 795 Aerolight is LOOK’s flagship machine and the frame combines low weight with a host of aerodynamic features, including the integrated carbon Aerostem, which sits flush with the toptube, and integrated front and rear brakes.

The 795 Aerolight 30th Anniversary Limited Edition also gets LOOK’s one-piece ZED3 crankset and is a dressed in a suitably top-end spec, with a SRAM Red eTap electronic wireless groupset and 47mm-deep Corima S carbon fibre wheels.

How much, you ask? A cool €10,990. But you do also get a set of matching Mondrian-themed LOOK Keo Blade 2 pedals thrown in.

You can also get hold of those pedals on their own, priced at €319.90 with a titanium axle and €199.90 with a chromoly axle.

The bike comes with matching pedals, also available separately

And if you’re already a LOOK owner you can chance your arm at winning a 30th Anniversary 795 Aerolight frame by posting a photo of your machine on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #myfirstlook from June 20 to July 10.
