Nectar have followed the launch of their energy drink and electrolyte tablets with a range energy gels, while MuleBar have a new coffee flavoured gel and chocolate orange bar.
The Nectar Fuel Cell is described as a LiquiGel, with a light consistency which is easy to consume. Each 40ml gel comes in a compact package and delivers 20g of carbohydrate.
The gel is available in four flavours – orange, lemon lime, summer fruits and blackcurrant – and costs £1.50 for one or £36 for a pack of 24.
Meanwhile, MuleBar have introduced a Café Cortada flavour to their range of gels.
The new gel is inspired by the MuleBar crew’s favourite Spanish coffee and the gel delivers 100mg of caffeine per serving, derived from natural coffee and guarana. There’s also a 27g helping of carbohydrate in each gel, sold as a box of 24 on MuleBar’s website for £36.
MuleBar have also tweaked their existing Lemon Zinger, Cherry Bomb and Apple Strudel flavours too, leading to what they call a softer, smoother and tastier gel.
Finally, Jimmy’s Choc Orange is a new addition to MuleBar’s energy bar range – and they reckon it’s their greatest tasting bar yet. We’re big fans of their bars so we’re looking forward to putting that claim to the test.
It’s made from Fairtrade chocolate blended with anti-oxidant rich orange and lemon peel, and delivers 194 calories and 17.5g of carbohydrate per bar, plus the wrapper’s compostable so it’s good for the planet. A box of 12 will set you back £17.99.
