Shoes, helmets, clothing, turbo trainers, mudguards and more that caught our eye at the Cycle Show

There’s no shortage of new product launched at this time of year, from the latest bikes all the way through to helmets, shoes, mudguards, clothing and turbo trainers.

In fact, that’s exactly what we’ve got for you here. We stopped by to see Giro, Bont, SKS, Abus, Chapeau, Minoura and Bell at the Cycle Show to see what’s new for the year ahead.

This is the Vanquish, Giro's new aero road helmet. First spotted on the heads of BMC Racing riders at the Tour de France, the Vanquish replaces the Air Attack and apparently offers a seven per cent aerodynamic advantage

These large vents are designed to keep the helmet cool

The theme continues at the rear, with the Vanquish designed to combine aerodynamics and ventilation

The MIPS-ready Vanquish has a magnetic Carl Zeiss shield

We first showed you these unfathomably light Giro Prolight Techlace shoes last year but now they are available to buy. Claimed weight is a scandalous 150g per shoe (size 42.5) but you'll only get a penny change from £350

Here's another new shoe, the Bont Riot+, which has been updated to replace the old ratchet with a Boa dial

The Riot+ is available in a range of jazzy colours, including this 'pearl white/black' option

The £149.99 shoe also has a heat-mouldable carbon fibre sole

It's that time of year again... Still, it's not all doom and gloom, the popular SKS Bluemels mudguards are now available in four colours. Matte black with either red, grey, green or blue

If you want to colour-match your mudguards to your bike, then here's your chance. The Bluemels fit up to 28c tyres and will set you back £41.99

This is the rather modestly-named Gamechanger from Abus, another helmet said to offer an aerodynamic advantage without affecting cooling too heavily

The £179.99 helmet was developed with the Movistar team and has a 23% smaller frontal surface area than Abus' previous flagship lid

While the Gamechanger is aimed at the speedsters of the peloton, the new Aventor goes all-out in search of low weight and high ventilation

Chapeau has launched its 2017/18 autumn/winter clothing range, which includes this rather stylish Tempo Thermal Jersey (£69.99)

Step up a level and you'll find the £99.99 Club Thermal Jersey

The Club is made from an Italian thermal fabric with a DWR coating

This is Minoura's new value-packed smart trainer, the Kagura. The compact, fold-away trainer is made in Japan

The Kagura has both powered (electromagnet) and non-powered (regular magnet) modes, so you can either plug it in and use the Bluetooth and ANT+ FE-C compatible trainer with the likes of Zwift, or use it as a regular trainer if, for example, warming up for a race or hill climb (or you're just not near a power source)

Finally, here's one more helmet for good measure. The new Bell Stratus looks a compelling mid-range package at £129.99

The Stratus is modeled on the top-end Zephyr but comes in at a much more competitive price

However, it's still lightweight at a claimed 295g and is MIPS-equipped
