Voigt rode 51.115km in 60 minutes in the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen on a custom Trek Speed Concept time trial bike, modified for use on the track.
The hugely-popular German has now retired from the sport after a 17-year professional career in which the 43-year-old wore the Tour de France yellow jersey twice, and won two individual stages, and developed a reputation for his fearless propensity to attack.
