Fizik’s ‘Spine Concept’ uses spine flexibility as a basis to match a rider to one of the
Italian firm’s saddle shapes – and, as of 2013, handlebar shape, too. Sounds sensible to us. As a result, the Fizik Cyrano R1 handlebar is available in three shapes for ‘snakes’, ‘chameleons’ and ‘bulls’, with each ‘bar coming in three versions. The £299.99 00 is fashioned from high- modulus carbon fibre, the R1 featured here is made from ‘regular’ carbon and the £79.99 R3 is wrought from aluminium.
