Spied on a recent Continental expedition, this substantial beauty is French frame, fork and pedal manufacturer Time’s new sportive/audax offering, to be called the VRS Fluidity.
Details are a little scarce but the frame will be made in France and promises exceptional ride efficiency thanks to effective vibration dampening plus unsurpassed roadholding through “geometry optimization”. The frame specification includes a higher head tube than found on Time’s regular road geometry, an “integral” full-carbon frame with integral seat mast and “bended” wishbone seatstays.
Vectran and “specific” carbon fibres are incorporated in the composite structure of the frame and fork, which are made using Time’s customary ResinTransferMatrix technique. Chainstays are asymmetric to optimise power transfer.
Update:
Prices are for frame/fork/headset; the VRS Fluidity Di2-ready model is to be priced at £3499.99, with the standard model costing £3049.99. More details as we get them.
