Tinkoff-Saxo unveil special edition fluoro-camo Tour de France kit

Sportful blend team's traditional race colours with camouflage training kit; LottoNL-Jumbo also launch Tour jersey

Tinkoff-Saxo have unveiled a special edition Tour de France team kit, which blends the team’s typical fluoro yellow with their camouflage training kit.

The kit, designed by Sportful, follows the success of the striking camo training kit the team launched in December.

Aside from the marked colour change, the kit remains the same as what the squad’s riders have worn throughout the season so far, based on Sportful’s BodyFit Pro and R&D ranges.

The team will be spearheaded at the Tour de France, which starts in Utrecht on July 4, by Giro d’Italia winner Alberto Contador, who is bidding for a historic Giro-Tour double, and the Spaniard has given the new look his seal of approval: “I really like the Tour de France kit.

“It’s a nice combination of this season’s racing kit and the one we started using in our training camp in Gran Canaria last December. I like its colours and, hopefully, so will our fans.”

Fans wishing to get their hands on the kit can do so thanks to a limited release, which goes on sale on June 15.

LottoNL-Jumbo have also unveiled a limited-edition Tour de France kit, to avoid clashing with the yellow jersey.

The new design for the Dutch lottery-sponsored team still features the yellow Lotto balls, but with a white panel at the top and on the shoulders.

The customisable kit can be purchased now, with the option to add your own name and national flag.

LottoNL-Jumbo’s nine riders at the Tour will be taking that customisation to another level, too, with the option to pick their own six lucky numbers to be displayed on the Lotto balls.
