Team Sky will continue to ride the Pinarello Dogma F8 when the 2016 season kicks off in January but the frame has been given a fresh lick of paint ahead of the new campaign.

The Dogma F8 was pretty much all black in 2015 and while the frame will remain predominantly matte black for 2016, light blue and white stripes have been added to the seatstays, seattube and fork.

The British WorldTour squad has partnered with Pinarello since Team Sky’s inaugural season in 2010 , and Sir Bradley Wiggins (2012) and Chris Froome (2013, 2015) have won three editions of the Tour de France between them in that time.

The Dogma F8 was introduced ahead of the 2014 Tour de France, replacing the Dogma 65.1 Think 2, and is the bike on which Froome won his 2015 crown.

The frame is made from high-modulus T11001K carbon fibre and weighs a claimed 860g for a size 54cm. The F8 seeks to combine that low weight with improved aerodynamics over the previous Dogma, using wind-cheating truncated Kammtail tube profiles dubbed FlatBack.

“The Pinarello Dogma F8 is an outstanding bike that performed very well for us in 2015,” said Carsten Jeppesen, Team Sky’s head of technical operations and commercial. “We’re very proud to enter our seventh season with Pinarello in next year and the new 2016 bike looks fantastic.”

Otherwise, Team Sky’s Dogma F8s will continue to be dressed with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset components, Shimano wheels and PRO finishing kit after Team Sky announced a two-year extension of its partnership with Shimano through to the end of the 2017 season. A Fizik saddle completes the team issue spec sheet.
