Besides keeping a rider’s bike in tip-top working order, it is one of the primary jobs of a mechanic to clean each machine after every ride and race. Mechanics work tirelessly into the night, bucket and sponge in hand, to ensure the team bikes are good as new after a hard day’s racing. After all, a clean bike is a fast bike.
