Jeremy Roy’s charmed life at the Tour Down Under continued on stage six as the FDJ.fr rider managed to narrowly avoid another big crash.
Roy had an on-board camera fitted to his bike throughout the race, offering a superb insight into life inside the peloton and the thrills and spills on the roads of South Australia.
And after narrowly avoiding a huge pile-up during stage four of the race, Roy’s final video from the race showcased more impressive bike handling skills – and luck – as he escaped the carnage on the penultimate lap which split the field.
The moment Marcel Kittel’s hopes of a stage win dissolved were captured by Roy’s back camera, as the German fast-man was forced to unclip just as Roy skirted around the tangle of bikes and bodies.
