The 2014 British Cycling Elite Road Series opened with the Tour of the Reservoir at the weekend and Madison-Genesis kicked off the season in style.
The team secured a one-two for Alex Peters and Peter Hawkins in the two-day race, the first of three events in the newly-formed Elite Road Series, which replaces the Premier Calendar.
The duo laid the foundations for success on stage one as part of a nine-rider breakaway which stayed away until the finish, where Peters outsprinted Hawkins. And the 20-year-old defended his position at the top of the overall standings on stage two, won by Team Raleigh’s Evan Oliphant.
This video provides a behind-the-scenes insight into life on the victorious team.
