Christophe Bassons’ story is now a well-known one. Shunned by the peloton after speaking out against doping, the Frenchman was forced to retire in 2001.
Bassons’ wrote his autobiography at the time and, in light of Lance Armstrong’s confessions in 2012, brought the story up to date in A Clean Break.
And, ahead of his appearance at the London Sports Writing Festival as part of ‘Cycling Sunday’ at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday October 26, we have three signed copies of the book to give away.
Bassons will discuss his book on stage at Lord’s as part of a day of talks which also features Nicole Cooke, Phil Burt, Emma O’Reilly, Tim Moore and Cycling Anthology editor Ellis Bacon, among others.
