It’s like déjà vu all over again after Chris Froome rode onto the Champs-Élysées decked head to toe in yellow and aboard a yellow Pinarello Dogma F8.

Froome claimed his third Tour de France title on Sunday and, just as he did in 2015, the Team Sky rider celebrated the occasion with a bike to match his maillot jaune.

The 31-year-old first took the yellow jersey on stage eight of the race, and his Dogma F8 has been gaining yellow touches since then, first with yellow handlebar tape and then yellow deals on the fork – but there was no missing Froome’s ride for the final stage, with the Briton also donning a Kask Protone helmet, Oakley sunglasses and Sidi shoes in yellow.

Otherwise Froome’s Dogma F8 retained the Rhino decals which have been on the bike throughout the race – a nod to the Kenyan-born rider’s African heritage (Welsh team-mate Geraint Thomas’s Dogma F8 for the Tour had a dragon on the toptube) and Froome’s role as an ambassador for the Unite for Wildlife charity.

Froome wasn’t the only Tour de France jersey winner to ride into Paris on a custom bike, with Tinkoff duo Peter Sagan and Rafal Majka getting green and polka dot Specialized bikes respectively to celebrate their victories in the points and King of the Mountains classifications. However, winner of the white jersey for best young rider, Adam Yates, remained on the same Scott Addict he has ridden throughout the race.

Sagan has taken out a long-term contract on the green jersey, having now won the maillot vert in each of the past five Tours, while Majka’s victory in the King of the Mountains classification was his second having previously worn the polka dot jersey in 2014.

While Sagan used Specialized’s aero bike, the Venge ViAS, to finish second on the Tour’s final stage, Majka, who, naturally, is more at home in the the mountains, stuck with the American firm’s lightweight machine, the Tarmac.
