Nicolas Roche is set to leave Team Sky in the winter, bound for BMC Racing, but his victory at the Irish Championships in June means the team have rewarded him with a custom Pinarello Dogma F8 for his final races with the British WorldTour squad.
The Irishman, who was crowned both road race and time trial champion, was supposed to be riding at the Vuelta a Espana until an illness picked up at Rio 2016 forced a change of plan.
Instead, the green, white and orange-striped jersey is being showcased at the Tour of Britain, with Roche’s Pinarello Dogma F8 decorated in matching livery.
Roche was in the breakaway on stage two, igniting the race on The Struggle before cramp took hold and he had to settle for 11th place on the day.
And prior to his day in the break, we took a closer look at Roche’s eye-catching new steed.
